This past May I had the pleasure of visiting Atelier Playa Mujeres, the adults only, luxury all inclusive resort in Playa Murjeres Mexico. This was actually my second time staying at this hotel and I was so excited to go back and experience this amazing resort once again. I earned this trip by achieving President's Club status as a top producer at my agency, and I couldn't wait to experience the rest and relaxation that Atelier is renowned for. Atelier Playa Mujeres First Glance
Atelier Playa Mujeres is located 40 minutes north of Cancun in the gated community of Playa Mujeres. With 593 gorgeous suites, this adults-only property is all about art and design—from stunning spaces that look like they belong in a museum to incredible gourmet dining experiences. Every suite, restaurant, and common area showcases thoughtful design and blends contemporary luxury with authentic Mexican culture. From the moment I stepped onto the resort grounds, I felt as though I had been whisked away to a stunning art gallery—one where I could relax poolside and savor world-class cuisine.

Dining at Atelier Playa Mujeres
Dining at Atelier Playa Mujeres is like taking a culinary journey through some of the best restaurants in the world. If you have been following for some time, you know that I am a foodie and I love a good meal. All inclusive resorts can get a bad rap in the food department but that was simply not the case at Atelier Playa Mujeres. From authentic Mexican cuisine to Italian dishes that rivaled some of the best pasta I have eaten in Italy, every bite was exceptional. One of my personal favorite meals was the lasagna at Clio only offered during lunch. Let’s face it, food is a huge part of the vacation experience, and Atelier absolutely nailed it on every level.
NUUP Spa Experience
I make it a point to visit the spa at every resort I stay at. Some may call it relaxation but I call it market research. When on vacation, relaxation is a priority and a top-notch spa with exceptional facilities and services can make or break your getaway. From the moment I stepped into the spa and the relaxing essential oil scents greeted me, I knew I was in for a special treat. I began my treatment with the hour long hydrotherapy session where I cleared my mind in the steam shower, relaxed in the sauna and soothed my muscles in the ludic pool with perfectly placed massaging jets. After my body was fully relaxed I was ready for my massage which was 80 minutes of pure bliss.
Golf at Atelier Playa Mujeres
While I was at the spa, my husband hit the links at Playa Mujeres Golf Course, which sits right next to the resort. This stunning 18-hole course is recognized as one of the best in Mexico and offers incredible views of the Caribbean Sea. As your travel advisor, I can arrange tee times ahead of time so you're all set when you arrive and you don't miss out on this experience. Transportation from the hotel lobby to the clubhouse is included with your green fees, and golf club rentals are available on-site. Pricing varies depending on time of year and time of day but averages around $230/round. All INSPIRA suites include two rounds of golf with stays of 7 nights or more.
The Beach
I love a good beach and let's be honest, not all beaches are created equal in the Mexican Caribbean. But, Atelier Playa Muejres is perfectly located on a large stretch of pristine sand coupled with beautiful turquoise waters. If you love to walk the beach, this is the perfect hotel to do so at. There are also plenty of shaded palapas to escape the warm sun. I never had an issue finding a beach chair which is always a plus in my book!
The PoolS
Atelier Playa Mujeres is the only reosrt that I have personally been to that has not one but two swim up bars! Which means you're never more than a lazy float away from a perfectly crafted cocktail. The main pool is sprawling and lively without being chaotic—perfect for guests who want to socialize, play pool volleyball, or simply lounge in the water with a frozen margarita in hand.
The rooftop infinity pool is Atelier Playa Mujeres' crown jewel—and if you're staying in the Inspira suites, you get exclusive access during the day when it's at its most serene. Here you will find panoramic ocean views, attentive service, and that elevated feeling of having discovered the resort's best-kept secret, all without the crowds. Then, as evening approaches, the pool opens to all guests just in time for sunset cocktails and those golden-hour views that make everyone look like they stepped out of a travel magazine. It's the perfect setup: Inspira guests get their private paradise by day, and everyone gets to experience the magic during the resort's most beautiful hours.
My Final Thoughts
